The Crooks research lab (Department of Pathology and Laboratory Medicine at the David Geffen School of Medicine at UCLA) has an immediate opening for a Project Scientist to work on and supervise a project in the field of pluripotent stem cells (PSCs) and T cell immunotherapy. Rank commensurate with experience.

The candidate will primarily be responsible for designing, managing and executing experiments that involve gene editing of PSCs and T cell differentiation. The duties of the Project Scientist will include: taking part in project design and management; development and validation of assays and protocols; training employees and students; compilation and presentation of experimental results to the project team; preparation of publications and presentation of experimental results at scientific meetings.

The applicant must have a Ph.D. or equivalent degree in Biomedical Research and must have experience in the field of gene editing. A background in hematopoiesis, pluripotent stem cells and/or T cell immunology is strongly preferred. The candidate must have excellent communication, interpersonal skills and organizational skills.
