Job Title: Research Technician
City: West Lafayette
The Kelleher Lab is currently seeking a Research Technician to join our team. Our lab uses various technologies (remote data collection, wearable sensors, analysis tools) to support clinical needs of children with rare neurodevelopmental conditions and their families. In this position, you will work to complete data collection for the PANDABox project, a NIH-funded study focused on early developmental profiles in children with neurogenetic syndromes such as Down syndrome, fragile X syndrome, Prader Willi syndrome, and Williams syndrome. Tasks will include enrolling and scheduling families, conducting telehealth-based assessments, completing behavioral coding of telehealth-based assessment sessions, and participating in data analysis and dissemination. The person in this position will work with multiple types of data, including surveys, ecological momentary assessments deployed via smartphone apps, and behavioral videos. Additionally, the person in this role will have the opportunity to engage in professional development activities relevant to their future career, and present and publish data commensurate with their level of experience. The Kelleher lab has a strong committment to mentoring future field scientists, and this position is ideal for trainees interested in discerning and pursuing subsequent, research-focused doctoral training in psychology and related disciplines.
The goal of the Kelleher Lab is to optimize outcomes for children and families affected by neurodevelopmental disorders by conducting cutting-edge research at the intersection of developmental psychology, technology, and clinical science. Currently, the lab is conducting several NIH-funded projects related to this goal, including the PANDABox project, a telehealth-based observational study to assess the early developmental trajectories of children with neurogenetic conditions (NGCs).
