The Yale School of Medicine's Department of Radiology and Biomedical Imaging invites applications from academically accomplished early-career Interventional Radiologists for a non-tenure track instructor-level faculty appointment.
A strong interest in clinical care, education, and academic development is required. Candidates should demonstrate a desire to build a research portfolio, particularly in the area of arterial and venous disease, though extensive prior funding is not required.
Board certification is not required for this position.
Yale Interventional Radiology (YIR) is a nationally leading academic section which provides the entire spectrum of IR procedures with high-volume oncologic, vascular, transplant, trauma, and pediatric services.

Depending on individual background and academic goals, protected non-clinical time may be provided to support scholarly development and participation in national-level CME activities.
Prior exposure to vascular interventions—including venous and arterial recanalization, thrombectomy, and dialysis access—will be viewed favorably, as will experience or interest in logistics and management of procedures in outpatient or OBL environments.
While the position is primarily clinical, interest in diagnostic cardiovascular imaging is encouraged but not required.
The candidate will be expected to achieve board certification within two years of employment, upon which transition toward tenure-track positions is encouraged.
