Position Overview

The Department seeks a zoologist specializing in invertebrates to contribute to teaching, research, and development of zoological topics. The role includes student supervision, grant activity participation, scientific publication, and presenting research results.


Responsibilities

  • Conduct scientific research and publish results.
  • Teach zoological courses and supervise bachelor’s, master’s, and doctoral students.
  • Develop research methods and contribute to grant applications.
  • Participate in international research networks and collaborative projects.

Required Qualifications

  • Postgraduate education in ecological and evolutionary biology (zoology, ecology, ethology) focused on invertebrates.
  • Long-term postdoctoral or post-PhD internship abroad (minimum 3 months).
  • Publication record commensurate with career stage (H-index >10).
  • Excellent Czech/Slovak and English (spoken and written).

Preferred / Advantageous Skills:

  • Grant preparation experience.
  • Teamwork, organizational skills, responsibility.
