Position Overview

The Department seeks a zoologist specializing in invertebrates to contribute to teaching, research, and development of zoological topics. The role includes student supervision, grant activity participation, scientific publication, and presenting research results.

Responsibilities

Conduct scientific research and publish results.
Teach zoological courses and supervise bachelor’s, master’s, and doctoral students.
Develop research methods and contribute to grant applications.
Participate in international research networks and collaborative projects.

Required Qualifications

Postgraduate education in ecological and evolutionary biology (zoology, ecology, ethology) focused on invertebrates.
Long-term postdoctoral or post-PhD internship abroad (minimum 3 months).
Publication record commensurate with career stage (H-index >10).
Excellent Czech/Slovak and English (spoken and written).

Preferred / Advantageous Skills:

Grant preparation experience.
Teamwork, organizational skills, responsibility.
