The Department of Psychiatry at Yale School of Medicine and Yale-New Haven Hospital is seeking an experienced leader for the position of Section Chief of Psychological Medicine at Yale-New Haven Hospital. This position will carry an academic appointment at the Yale School of Medicine, Department of Psychiatry, commensurate with experience, training, and achievements. 

The chief of the psychological medicine service will lead the 12 psychiatrists, 9 psychologists, multiple advanced practice providers, social workers, 4 psychosomatic medicine fellows, and several pre-doctoral psychology fellows by developing and implementing innovative and collaborative care delivery models at the 1,500 bed Yale-New Haven Hospital, Smilow Cancer Hospital, and Yale-New Haven Health. The successful candidate will have an outstanding record in clinical care, education, academic productivity on matters related to the psychiatric well-being of individuals with medical illness or psychiatric collaboration in a medical setting, and progressively greater administrative experience. 


The successful candidate must be a physician, board-certified in psychiatry with subspecialty certification in psychosomatic medicine.
