Subject/subject description
The Department of Psychology is a large, creative workplace that, in addition to being a prominent research facility, also provides higher education at all levels within psychology. More than 1000 students attend the department’s various courses and programs, from undergraduate to doctoral level, including Psychologist Program, Psychotherapist Program and Specialist Programs.

Main responsibilities
The main tasks involve teaching at undergraduate and graduate levels mainly within the Psychologist and Psychotherapy Programs at the department. The tasks also include supervision of students at different levels, course management and development, and conducting research. 

The holder of the position is also expected to participate in pedagogical development as well as in departmental work such as tasks concerning clinical research and being a member of departmental committees and task forces. At least 30% of the working time should be allocated to research and continued professional development.

Qualification requirements
Eligible applicants for the position of senior lecturer should hold a PhD in Psychology, or have equivalent research skills and have demonstrated teaching expertise. Teaching proficiency should normally have been demonstrated through teaching experience at both the undergraduate- and master’s levels. Teaching proficiency should be well documented and in a manner that makes it possible to assess the quality of the teaching activities.

Furthermore, the applicant should be a licenced psychologist, or have equivalent foregin skills, and be a licenced psychotherapist, or have equivalent foregin skills, with a focus on Psychodynamic psychotherapy.

The applicant must have the ability to cooperate with colleagues as well as other abilities that are required in order successfully to meet the demands of the position.

Assessment criteria
Special and equal emphasis will be placed on teaching and research skills.The pedagogical skills can be demonstrated through teaching, supervision or the production of educational materials of relevance for the research area. When assessing the research skills, special emphasis will be placed on merits within the area of Psychodynamic psychotherapy, and also if the research is current.

Strong emphasis will be placed on documented education as supervisor in psychotherapy.

Strong emphasis will be placed on ongoing psychotherapy work.

Strong emphasis will be placed on a documented ability to cooperate well with colleagues and fellow researchers as well as administrative skills and proven collaboration with the surrounding society and dissemination of research and development findings.

Emphasis will also be placed on having successfully planned, applied for and obtained research project funds from external research funding bodies.

It is a merit to have completed at least 15 higher education credits in teaching and learning in higher education or to have otherwise acquired equivalent knowledge.

Additional information
An applicant who does not have at least 15 higher education credits in teaching and learning in higher education, and is not deemed to have acquired equivalent knowledge, must complete such training within the first two years of employment.

Proficiency in Swedish is not a requirement for the position, but the applicant has to be ready to take on administrative and pedagogical tasks that demand an understanding and usage of Swedish after two years of employment.
