Position Overview
The Department of Business Administration is seeking an Associate Senior Lecturer in Business Administration specializing in Marketing.
The Marketing Section consists of approximately 30 researchers and teachers, including four professors.
The position represents an initial step in the promotion system applied at the department and faculty.

The position represents a research investment intended to further develop the section’s profile through innovative research.
Duties
The position consists of:
- Maximum 50% teaching
- Minimum 50% research
The research component is connected to the project:
“Imagination Work and the Mediation of Time in Markets”
The project examines how collective imaginations of the past and future are mediated in consumer culture.
The project analyzes:
- Imagined futures
- Reinterpreted pasts
- Mediated market communication
The aim is to deepen understanding of the cultural power of marketing.
Teaching responsibilities include:
- Undergraduate education
- Master’s Programme in Marketing & Consumption
- Doctoral education
The successful candidate is also expected to:
- Apply actively for external research funding
- Contribute to the section and department environment
- Participate through physical presence
Eligibility
Eligibility requirements are specified in:

Applicants must:
- Hold a doctoral degree or equivalent research qualifications
- Specialize in Business Administration with a focus on Marketing
Preference is given to applicants who obtained their doctoral degree within five years prior to the application deadline.

Employment
According to the Higher Education Ordinance (SFS 1993:100), an associate senior lecturer may be employed for:
- Minimum four years
- Maximum six years
The purpose is to enable development of:
- Research autonomy
- Teaching qualifications
- Qualifications for promotion to senior lecturer

Swedish Language Requirement
Internationally recruited Associate Senior Lecturers employed after 31 August 2024 must complete:
- Swedish language course
- Minimum level B2 according to CEFR
This is required for promotion to Senior Lecturer.
