We seek to appoint an outstanding academic in Cognitive Neuroscience to join a vibrant, research-intensive environment in the newly created School of Psychology and Neuroscience (name TBC).
The successful candidate will have an excellent track record of high-quality publications and grant capture, alongside experience of teaching in higher education. You will contribute to the development of a strong research culture and deliver high-quality teaching across undergraduate and postgraduate programmes.

Teaching is delivered in person and on campus, and you will be expected to attend campus for all student-facing activities. Typically, staff are on campus around three days per week, although this varies. A minimum of one day per week on campus is normally expected.
You will:
Publish high-quality research in leading international journals
Submit competitive grant applications to develop and sustain your research programme
Build and support a research team, including postgraduate researchers and research staff
Contribute positively to the research culture of the School and the University
Maximise the impact of your research through engagement with external partners
Teaching responsibilities will include:
Teaching across undergraduate and postgraduate programmes
Developing and organising teaching units
Designing, setting, and marking assessments
Supervising student research projects and acting as a personal tutor
You will also undertake a school-level administrative role appropriate to your pathway and career stage and contribute constructively to the wider academic community.
You:
Are committed to the highest academic standards

Have a strong record of publication in international journals
Have experience of securing research funding
Have experience supervising students and colleagues
Have experience of designing, delivering, and organising teaching and assessment
Are able to develop and sustain an independent research team
Can work both independently and collaboratively with academic and professional staff
