Senior Research Assistant/Research Assistant I/II in Learning and Assessment for Digital Citizenship in the Faculty of Education (Ref.: 501825) (to commence as soon as possible until December 31, 2021)  

Applicants should possess a Master's degree or above in Education, Social Sciences or a related discipline; a good command of written and spoken English and Chinese (Cantonese); good organizational skills; and experience in collecting data in schools/universities. A high level of writing proficiency in English is essential to succeed in this role. They should also be self-motivated, responsible and able to work independently and within a team. Prior experience in conducting large-scale assessment data collection and survey studies, and/or research on academic development/student learning in higher education institutions are highly desirable. Preference will be given to candidates with experience in managing and analyzing quantitative research data, and/or with a demonstrated background in citizenship-related research.

The appointee will work on the project "Learning and Assessment for Digital Citizenship" funded by HKRGC under the Theme-Based Research Scheme. The project, led by Professor Nancy Law of the Faculty of Education, aims to address research questions about the impact of digital media on human development and everyday life of children and youth (including aspects such as civic engagement, digital competence, wellbeing etc.). He/She will undertake key responsibilities in supporting the research design, data collection, analysis and reporting for the study component related to understanding undergraduate students' digital citizenship orientation and capacity in a global world. He/She  will also support the project team with administrative and coordination responsibilities throughout the entire project (e.g., coordination of project events, reporting, and dissemination with the data collection team).
