The School of Veterinary Medicine and Science is an innovative and forward thinking school at University of Nottingham. This has been demonstrated by the dramatic increase of our student numbers by moving to a dual intake system. In September 2019 150 undergraduate students started with us, with a further 150 starting in April 2020.  We have been consistently ranked #1 in NSS survey since our first graduating cohort in 2011 and in the most recent REF we ranked 2nd in the UK for research power. We are also the only veterinary school who are holders of an ASPIRE award, recognising our excellence in student engagement.

As part of our plans to double our student intake, we are seeking a number of key staff to support our School in order to continue to deliver at the same high standard we have become well known for.

You will be a key part of the stage of our exciting journey, as we look to continue to push the boundaries and develop a world leading Veterinary School.

We are seeking a Teaching Assistant/Associate to teach veterinary practical and clinical skills within the integrated 5-year BVM BVS programme. The clinically integrated curriculum provides students with underpinning biological science applied within a veterinary context in order to prepare them for their future careers. Candidates should possess the skills to deliver practical and clinical skills, ideally across the species, within an applied veterinary curriculum.

This post will be offered on a full time, permanent contract. Job share arrangements may be considered.

Informal enquiries may be addressed to Kate Cobb, email katy.cobb@nottingham.ac.uk. Please note that applications sent directly to this email address will not be accepted.
