Salary
£30942 to £40322 per annum (pro-rata if applicable) depending on skills and experience. Salary progression beyond this scale is subject to performance.

Applications are invited for the above post based at the Humanities Building in University Park, Nottingham.

The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate strong research potential and teaching ability in ancient Greek language, literature, and culture. The successful candidate will be responsible for teaching undergraduate modules in ancient Greek language and literature and culture, for supervising undergraduate and taught postgraduate dissertations, and for contributing to Departmental administration. The successful candidate may be required to teach face to face and on line (through MS Teams).

Candidates must have a PhD at or near completion in classics, ability to teach ancient Greek and Latin at all levels and a strong commitment to the Department. It is desirable that the candidate should be able to contribute teaching in ancient Greek history, broadly conceived.

This is a full time post (36.25 hrs per week), fixed-term from 20/09/2021 until 28/01/2022. Job share arrangements may be considered.
