Tenure-track Position in Applied Mathematics

The Department of Mathematics and Statistics of the University of Ottawa invites applications to fill at least one tenure-track position in Applied Mathematics at the Assistant, Associate or Full Professor level, to begin July 1, 2020.

Title of the position: Assistant, Associate or Full professor.

Duties: The functions of a member of the academic staff include, in varying proportions: a) teaching activities; b) scholarly activities pertaining to research and/or professional work; c) academic service activities, d) supervision of graduate students.

Terms: Tenure-track position.

Wage: As per collective agreement.

Skills requirements:

  • Education: Ph.D. or equivalent in Mathematics.
  • Work experience: We are seeking candidates with a proven record of research excellence, who can teach at undergraduate and graduate levels, who have the desire and ability to supervise graduate students and contribute to the success of the department. The position is open to all research areas of Applied Mathematics, with priority given to the areas of current strength in Applied Mathematics in the department.
