Tenure-track Position in Statistics

The Department of Mathematics and Statistics of the University of Ottawa invites applications to fill at least one tenure-track position in Statistics at the Assistant, Associate or Full Professor level, to begin July 1, 2020.

Title of the position: Assistant, Associate or Full professor.

Duties: The functions of a member of the academic staff include, in varying proportions: a) teaching activities; b) scholarly activities pertaining to research and / or professional work; c) academic service activities, d) supervision of graduate students.

Terms: Tenure-track position.

Skills requirements:

  • Education: Ph.D. or equivalent in Statistics at the time of hiring.
  • Work experience: We are seeking candidates with a proven track record in research, who can teach at undergraduate and graduate levels, and who have the desire and ability to supervise graduate students, to be active in the statistical community and contribute to the success of the department. Excellent candidates in all areas of Statistics are encouraged to apply; however, preference will be given to candidates in Biostatistics and Applied Statistics.
